Azurea Falls Tucked away behind the larger hills in the area, the Azurea Falls are hardly beautiful, despite their elegant name. Merely a cluster of four waterfalls clinging to the side of a great rock overhang, it would be nice to describe the clear, cool water that falls from the overhang in a glimmering wall, but this would be a lie. The water is an ugly greenish brown, and filled with random debris, such as leaves, logs, and the occasional dead fish. To the west of the Falls is a small wood, primarily made up of Pine trees, and although this is classed as part of the terrain, it features no waterfalls whatsoever.

Lijos Abyss A deep canyon located between two of the mountains in the Altare region, the Abyss is accesible through a dangerous, hidden track to the east. It is dark almost all day long, as it is only when the sun is directly overhead that much light is able to reach the bottom of the canyon. A small stream runs the entire length of the canyon which can be traced to an underground spring, and for this reason the water is free of contamination. It is riddled with caves and tunnels, and although some rough grass grows here and there in ugly clumps, the Abyss is a rather desolate place to inhabit.

Mount Elder The largest in the Altare Range, Mount Elder is a towering peak of grey and brown stone. It's weathered face is rather majestic, although for the most part it is hidden by stunning green foliage in the form of grass, trees, and the occasional shrub. A forest covers the entire northern side of the Mount, although it was severely damaged in a wildfire two years ago, and is now made up almost entirely of saplings and young trees. A small, feeble stream weaves its way through the mountain down to the flatter areas of Altare, and although not the cleanest water around, it's certainly drinkable.

Teal Hollow A large and deep dip in the earth that would probably have formed a lake if the area received more rainfall, the Teal Hollow is rather beautiful, dotted with contorted trees and bright flowers entwined in the long grass. In the center of the hollow rests an ancient tree; it has existed for as long as anyone can remember, and is a monument of sorts in the area. Weerlings and Mechanicals may gather here to talk and mingle.

Primrose Fields An unusually large meadow to the south, the Primrose Fields are circular in shape, divided into three by a small but powerful stream. A cluster of trees here and there provide some shelter, but other than this, the Fields are quite open and plain. Beautiful flowers, though predominantly primroses, can be found scattered through the fields all year round, and the Fields are a popular destination - they act as the claiming area for mares.

Dakkar Slope A rather dull field perched on the side of an overgrown hill, the Dakkar Slope is a reminder that life is short, for all plant-life in the area is dying or dead, turned an ugly brown by the lack of rain. A small pond in the East provides a water source, and around this the grass is a pale, sickly green - but elsewhere, the land is barren. Used as a breeding area by the Weerlings and Mechanicals, the Slope is abandoned for most of the year - few would wish to roam such ugly lands out of choice.

Omikron Hill A large mound of earth that seems to reach into the heavens in an attempt to pull the clouds down to earth, the Omikron Hill is a jungle of trees, foliage, and rocks - it is like a natural maze. The western side of the hill is dotted with caves that run in a deep network through the hill, although it is almost impossible to get lost, as there are numerous entrances and exits in the caverns. Mares use the Hill as a place to give birth.

Morgre Forest A light and airy cluster of flowing Willows and wintery Pines, the Morgre Forest is green all year round, and filled with unusual plants and animals. The foliage is spaced well apart, although the ground inbetween is knotted with roots and rocks, making it easy to stumble and fall. Crimson-topped mushrooms are in abundance here - but are poisonous to all who eat them. The Morgre Forest acts as a fighting arena for the Weerlings and Mechanicals.
